Instructor with another training organization, do I need to do this
This will depend on the current requirements and policies of IYT
Worldwide. The first step is to make an application to be an IYT
Recreational Instructor. IYT Worldwide will then make an assessment of
your skills, knowledge and experience. If your application is
successful, IYT Worldwide will inform you which of the courses you will
have to do.
What is the
difference between this course and the HMA/IYT Professional Teachers
This course focuses upon instructing IYT Worldwde recreational courses
from a non-academic angle. The HMA/IYT Professional Teacher's Course is
focusing more upon academic teaching theories, psychologies,
sociologies, techniques and presentations; both in classroom scenarios
and on-board scenarios. It also focuses upon dealing with complex
practical situations often found in the professional practical courses.
My English level
is not that good?
For instructing the IYT Recreational Courses, you will need a minimum
level of conversational English and a reasonable knowledge of English
nautical terms and phrases.
Do candidates fail
No, it is not a pass/fail type of course. Each Candidate is assessed
upon their abilities to instruct or teach; based upon this assessment,
IYT Worldwide will authorise to which course/s the successful Candidate
